It bought time before she narrowed it down to Shauna, and gave the alpha one less chance to slaughter her.

A lot of people, myself included, weren't convinced about Danny being a wolf twice in a row. She was close to narrowing it down, she was the first out the gate this time. I made sure she at least put it off until this time.

i do technically have ONE girlfriend right now, but everything else has been pretty casual
that kind of thing happens a lot here. well, not HERE here, but back at the house. it's kinda crazy. and people don't even care if you're into girls or guys

Most people stop caring about that in the late 2000s. Marraige equality goes state by state for a while until it's legal everywhere in 2015. I know you're still a ways off, but it'll happen back home, too.
